A day in the life of a person with a rare disease

Was finally able to get my blood drawn today for the PTEN study. 4 vials of my blood are in that little white box.

And away it will go to Cleveland in the morning!

[*Note to self:  ALWAYS make sure your next meal after a huge blood draw is a good one!]  Too little water and 2 power bars was not enough to sustain me after the draw!  Not a pleasant afternoon and evening.  😦

  1. I have to have blood drawn every month at the least, sometimes twic a month, and one would think I have learned to eat something proper and drink water afterwards. Apparently I have a long learning curve.
